We set off to walk together on the beach this morning until we realized that our preconceived notions of the route we would take were entirely in opposition. So Harry headed out in one direction and I in another. Our paths did cross once but otherwise we both had terrific solitary walks
Pelicans have a scary way of fishing. They fly way over a body of water, spot a fish and then dive bomb into the water. Lots of fun to watch. I wonder how Pelicans avoid concussions.
Sandpipers, Stilts, and Plovers: Oh My
The combination of the howling wind, the azure sky, the turquoise sea, the dense green of the mangroves, and pearl white sand sprinkled with an endless variety of seashells was almost too much for the senses.
At a secluded spot on the lagoon the shallow water had attracted a great blue heron, several egrets and a wood stork. For a few moments Marsha bemoaned the fact that she was without a camera but then she just sat down on the sand and enjoyed the scene.
