Mid morning we drove out toward the Everglades and stopped at the Collier Seminole State Park and walked on the Royal Palm Hammock Trail (most of which is a very nice boardwalk). It was a nice walk that was slightly marred for Marsha who seems to have attracted what few mosquitos were in the area and our stupidity of not having repellant.
We retreated back to Goodland and had a nice lunch on the outside dock at the Little Bar Restaurant.
This afternoon we had another nice swim, followed by a beautiful sunset.
Then we had a lovely dinner at Marek’s Restaurant. Our personable waiter Sean was charming and knowledgeable about food. The cocktails strong enough, the food was delicious, and the presence of Sarah Chessman was enlivening to make for a fun evening.
