The first 10 days of this trip we will be visiting family and friends that live in Indianapolis, Dallas and Houston. This means, of course, that we are headed in a westerly direction. Yes we are cognizant of the fact that maybe this wasn’t the best decision but we really want to see these folks and do some touring that only this route will allow. Driving on Interstates is not our preferred method of car travel but somewhat of a necessity if one wants to get to Indianapolis in two days. So there is nothing to report in the way of sites seen along the way unless you count the snow squalls.
One benefit of the new iTunes Music is that you can play any song you want when you want it. So we were able to conjure up Willie Nelson to serenade us with “On the road again” and Sweet Baby James (Taylor) as we drove the …”turnpike from Stockbridge”…. If any of you have other suggestions for songs to play along our route send them along.

We loved noticing that while we were traveling West, the flocks of birds had the good sense to be flying be perpendicular to us towards the South.
