This is a YouTube video of a drone flying over the three mile beach at Marco Island. It seems to have been shot from the Resident's Beach which is in the center of the three mile span of the beach. In the still show below, you can see where we are staying at the far end where the large width of the beach seems to end. Unfortunately, the drone does not travel that far north -- probably because the range of the Drone's radio would have been exceeded. This 11 minute video could use some editing so that it was about 3 minutes, but, whatever...

At Marco Craft and Shell we got lots of crafty ideas of what to do with myriad of shells we have been collecting on our beach walks. After browsing through many clothing stores and not finding anything of interest we headed to a local church fair. Their tent containing used boutique clothing yielded “finds” for each of us.

Although certainly Marco Island has lots to do in the way of beach walks, shell picking, swimming pools, parks, bicycle riding, and eating, Harry was beginning to feel something was missing: The Everglades, an area where the flora and fauna that is unique to the Gulf Coast is made accessible to visitors.

Myers to pick up Sarah whose trip from Boston included a cancelled flight, rerouting through Philadelphia with a 7 hour layover, a delayed takeoff on the second leg of the flight due to deicing procedures, and a midnight arrival in Ft. Myer’s that necessitated a overnight hotel stay.

We've been on Marco Island for a little over a week. In that time, we have become knowledgeable about the best walking (beach), bicycle riding, and general car driving routes on the Island.
