We've been home for 3 weeks now. In that time, it has snowed twice, our good friend Ray Tomlinson has died, we're starting to get back into the normal swing of things and Harry has had a head cold for a week and counting.
Traveling takes us away -- away from a lot of things both good and bad. The goodness of our family, our friends, our comfy home, the excitement of living in Lexington. The badness of deadlines, appointments, commitments, meetings -- in other words normal life. We thrive both on both Traveling and Staying at Home. Love, -- Harry & Marsha  We crossed the Delaware Memorial Bridge into New Jersey and travelled through the parts of the state that do not bring to mind the descriptive “Garden State”.
Click Read More below right... Day 58: 8 weeks and 1 day; Kill Devil Hills, NC; Wright Bros. National Memorial; Newark, Delaware3/1/2016 This morning on the Outer Banks of North Carolina our hotel room balcony was in full sun and sitting there with a cup of hot coffee was delightful. This was the start of a fun day outdoors.
Click Read More below right...  A driving day – starting on Interstate 95 and the last 2 hours crossing bridges and islands to the Outer Banks. We arrived in time to take a walk on the beach and then to have a glass of wine on our hotel room balcony before the sunset.
Click Read More below right...  It was a beautiful drive along the coast to Amelia Island. Our preconceived notion of Amelia Island was of a ritzy resort island for the rich and that slaves flocked there after emancipation. By the end of the day we realized that the island’s population is as varied as its history.
Click Read More below right...      We were all up relatively early and sufficiently organized that we had our cars loaded and were leaving the parking area one half hour before our estimated 9:30 departure.
